На состоявшихся в минувшие выходные выборах в парламент Румынии первое место со значительным отрывом от конкурентов заняла Социал-демократическая партия, набравшая более 22% голосов румынских избирателей. Социал-демократы, являющиеся одними из партнёров «Союза левых сил – За новый социализм» по международному социалистическому движению, станут основой для формирования новой правящей коалиции и правительства Румынии.

Лидер украинского левого движения Максим Гольдарб направил поздравительное письмо главе румынских социал-демократов Йон-Марчелу Чолаку, отметив близость взглядов украинских и румынских левых по ряду вопросов, и выразив надежду на поддержку коллег из Румынии в деле скорейшего мирного урегулирования в Украине.

 In the Romanian parliamentary elections held last weekend, the Social Democratic Party won the first place with a significant margin over its competitors, gaining more than 22% of the Romanian voters’ votes. The Social Democrats, one of the partners of the Union of Left Forces — For New Socialism in the international socialist movement, will be the basis for the formation of a new governing coalition and government in Romania.

The leader of the Ukrainian leftist movement Maxim Goldarb sent a congratulatory letter to the leader of the Romanian Social Democrats, Jon-Marchel Ciolac, noting the closeness of the views of the Ukrainian and Romanian leftists on a number of issues, and expressing hope for the support of colleagues from Romania in the early peaceful settlement in Ukraine.
