Победил человек, который не струсил, как Янукович, и с оружием в руках отстоял в 2016 волю турецкого народа, разогнав госпереворот. Победил национальный лидер, не предавший и не продавший свою страну заокеану, как всё постмайданное типа порошенко и др. Победил политик, собравший команду патриотов-профессионалов, как Сойлу, Чавушоглу, Кавчиоглу.
Попытка госпереворота, предательство, подрывная деятельность сильнейшего «союзника» по НАТО, нападки еврочиновников, инфляция и экономические проблемы в стране, чудовищное по масштабам и последствиям землетрясение, болезнь — все это навалилось в короткий срок на президента Эрдогана, ставящего своей целью, насколько понимаю, воссоздание былого величия и влияния Турции — Османской империи. И он не отступил.
Он имел миллион поводов и возможностей отменить или перенести выборы по объективным причинам, мог давно и жестоко преследовать оппозицию (кто не знает, мэры Стамбула и Антальи — оппозиционеры, например. Можете такое представить в Украине?). Но не сделал этого, назначил выборы незадолго после землетрясения, пошел на них и победил.
При всей своей жесткости, он умеет, когда это нужно, склонять голову и договариваться, уступать и лавировать. Умеет упорствовать и не сдаваться. Но самое главное, по-моему, и это знают и чувствуют турки — он любит и верит в свою страну и её большое будущее. Поэтому и доверили ему её и в этот раз. Поэтому и победил.

An attempted coup d’état, betrayal, subversive activities of the strongest «ally» in NATO, attacks by European officials, inflation and economic problems in the country, a monstrous earthquake in terms of scale and consequences, a disease — all this fell upon President Erdogan in a short time, who, as far as I understand, aims to reconstruction of the former greatness and influence of Turkey — the Ottoman Empire. And he didn’t back down.
He had a million reasons and opportunities to cancel or postpone elections for objective reasons, he could persecute the opposition for a long time and cruelly (who doesn’t know, the mayors of Istanbul and Antalya are oppositionists, for example. Can you imagine this in Ukraine?). But he did not do this, called elections shortly after the earthquake, went to them and won.
For all his rigidity, he knows how, when necessary, to bow his head and negotiate, to yield and maneuver. Knows how to persevere and not give up. But the most important thing, in my opinion, and the Turks know and feel it, is that he loves and believes in his country and its great future. Therefore, they entrusted it to him this time. Therefore, he won.
